Bolshy exploded onto the streets of Liverpool in Summer 2012 to forge a symphonic stew simmered with fine slices of Ska, delicious dollops of Dub with freshly baked pieces of Punk for added punch. Served with a hearty helping of Reggae relish and a sprinkle of Samba seasoning for good measure combined with their strong anti-capitalist and anti-discrimination ethics. Bolshy kicked off their journey busking religiously most days, then rushing off to play gigs predominantly in basements. Since then they’ve took the Northwest underground scene by storm supporting Dirty Revolution, playing Fiesta Bombarda at the Kazimier, appearing on the same bill as The Undertones, Neville Staples, and The Beat and then going on to perform to at the end of a 50,000 strong NHS rally in Manchester. Having crowdfunded £1,885, Bolshy released their debut EP “Radical. Anarchic. Bolshy. Scouse.” in June 2014.
One of the best bands at the moment and the true definition of punk. The next generation are here!
